We were delighted to welcome final-year Mechanical Engineering students from the University of Hertfordshire to Secomak for an immersive industry experience. The visit gave students a unique opportunity to see how core engineering principles are applied across our manufacturing processes and day-to-day operations.
During the event, students met with members of our engineering team, explored current design and development projects, and enjoyed a full factory tour showcasing our production capabilities. The visit offered valuable insight into the practical side of engineering, allowing students to ask questions, understand real-world applications, and gain a clearer picture of careers within the industry.
Secomak has proudly maintained a strong partnership with the University of Hertfordshire’s School of Engineering & Computer Science since 2006. Several graduates have joined our team through this relationship, including Design Engineer Lewis Montague. Lewis, along with fellow Design Engineer David Clucas, led the tour and shared their experiences transitioning from university to industry.
At Secomak, we remain committed to supporting the next generation of engineers and encouraging young people to pursue STEM pathways.
